How Do I...
Obtain Telephone Advice?
If you wish to speak to a doctor or nurse, your contact details are taken and they are given to the appropriate clinician who will contact you at a specified period of time.
How Do I...
Make An Appointment?
Please telephone to make an appointment. Patients can be seen at either Green Road Surgery or Woodley Park Surgery.
Sick Children
They will be seen that day in the surgery as soon as possible. Bringing them to the surgery, after telephoning first, may well result in them being seen more quickly than if a home call is requested.
Temporary Residents
If a visitor to your home needs to see a doctor, you may make arrangements for them to be seen at the practice on a temporary basis for a maximum of three months. Anyone staying longer than three months should register with a doctor.
How Do I...
Obtain A Home Visit?
If you are bedridden or unable to attend surgery due to illness or infirmity and require a home visit, please, if possible, telephone the surgery before 10.30am to enable the doctors to plan their visits. Requests for urgent visits are dealt with at the time of the request. Whenever possible you will be asked to come to the surgery as the facilities are better for examination and treatment and it is also more efficient use of the doctors’ time.
How Do I...
Obtain Test Results?
It would be appreciated if patients requiring test results could telephone the surgery after 2.00pm when the telephone lines are less busy and the results more likely to be available (results of blood tests and X-rays take a minimum of 7 days and cervical smears from 6+ weeks).
